How to Earn Art Points
Starting now with the availability of Artacle Marketplace, you can begin earning Art Points through a number of activities. Users can find a new section called "Art Points" on their profile page that gives details how Art Points are earned.
Paying Royalties
For buying and selling NFTs: All generative art collections listed in ARTCL index and all AI art collections listed in ARTCL AI index. Note that the airdrop for past 2 years included all generative art and AI art collections available on Artacle.
For transactions where the paid royalties are at least 50% of the recommended royalties, the seller and buyer will be eligible for Art Points.
Listing seller: earns 25% of Art Points from a transaction
Listing buyer: earns 75% of Art Points from a transaction
Offer acceptor: earns 100% of Art Points from a transaction
Offer initiator: earns 0% of Art Points from a transaction
Note: Amount of Art Points is calculated based on paid royalties and the 75% and 25% values are variables that may change over time.
These points are earned regardless of where the transaction takes place. And:
If the seller or buyer uses the Artacle Marketplace: they will receive a 30% points boost
If the seller or buyer is an Artacle PRO member, they will receive a 20% points boost
If the seller or buyer is an “Artacle OG”, they receive a 15% points boost
If the seller or buyer is registered with a free Artacle email account, they will receive a 5% points boost
An Example:
Bob has held Squiggle #111 since he minted it for .0035 eth on day zero. He now desires to sell his beloved Squiggle and has posted it for sale on Artacle for 5 eth. He has opted to pay the recommended royalties to Snowfro and the Artblocks platform. Bob has a free Artacle email account
Alice has been hunting for a Day 0 Squiggle and loves #111. She’s an Artacle OG in the Artacle Discord, and buys the Squig for 5 eth.
Art Points are calculated as follows:
royalties paid = 0.375E
total art points = 0.375 / 0.00001 = 37,500, where 0.00001 value is a variable and used in the example only.
Alice gets 75%, i.e. 28125 points and 30% boost for using Artacle marketplace and 5% for Artacle email account. In total Alice receives 37,969 Art Points.
Bob gets 25%, i.e. 9,375 Art Points and 30% boost for using Artacle marketplace and 15% boost for being an "Artacle OG". In total Bob receives 13,594 Art Points.
Holding NFTs
For extended holding of NFTs: All generative art collections listed in ARTCL index and all AI art collections listed in ARTCL AI index.
Each collection listed in the indices generates Art Points daily based on its market capitalization multiplied by a coefficient, which is adjusted algorithmically. In a nutshell, the higher the collection's floor price and the greater the number of tokens, the more Art Points it generates.
Art Points are distributed daily among holders based on their weights. The weight depends on the holding duration. Every holder can see how many points they earn daily for holding on their profile page.
